Are any of you employed at or know of someone who is employed at one of the large law firms in the DC area? Kind of an odd request, but my girlfriend is an MIT nuclear engineer who's currently in her first year at Vanderbilt Law School and is looking for a summer job. Can anyone suggest a contact for a resume drop?

The best connections would be a personal connection to someone at one of the firms but barring that the next step would be checking in with Vanderbilt Law School's career services or alumni department to see where Vanderbilt alums are employed in DC. But again, having a connection, e.g., family, college friend, etc. is the best way in the door. Also, if she is willing to do nonpaying work that will definitely expand her options.
