So we have some issues. The engine was primed via the sensor port, when attempting to crank the pushrods were bent.
Contact on all exhaust valves and #3 and #6 intake valve. The timing set was missing the cam drive plate circled below.
1) can this plate being missing cause intake and exhaust valve contact?
When the crank trigger is aligned with the sensor, sprocket timing mark is at 8:00 not 5:00 as the manual says (shown below). The crank has stampings 3Mor 8M and c711. The crank does not have a keyway in the snout. We are concerned that this may have been rebuilt with an 05-06 crank.
2) can anyone verify if this is the 08-10 crank?
The timing marks were aligned on the cam and crank sprocket. But the trigger did not meet the manual specs.
