Looking for a decent SRT-10 in the low $50\'s. Possible?

I almost had one this morning but was behind by about 20 minutes. Silver 03 with 7700 miles that checked out to be a clean car. It went for $53k.

The car I am looking for does not have to be perfect, but I do not want one that has had the frame twisted in any way and I want a nice interior that has not been smoked in. Chips, scratches, and little dings I can handle. I'm also trying to stay 15,000 miles or less.

Are the goals unrealistic? I want one before April.

If you extend your time period it might be possible but realistically you are looking at Mid to high $50's. Probably $58K and under.

Jeff,
Too bad you missed the 03 for $53. I think that was a deal, maybe. I bought an 03 7 months ago from a friend, but it had 17K miles, as he was a daily driver. The car had a year of warranty left and only had a few under body scrapes, no side dings at all, which was hard to believe. I paid $55K and was happy. A lower mileage 03 around 7 to 12K miles in great shape would be upper 50's. The trick is what was the real history, and that is hard to come by unless you know the owner like I did. Good luck!!

54k or 55k is possible. They come up every now and again. Patience.....patience. You are in Michigan so you have alot of opportunities in the Mid-West. I think in about a month you will be driving one. Autotrader is the best bet.

Use a private dealer, and you can finfd one at an auction. I'm looking myself still. I'm always $5k -$8k off.
