Thanks to all of you who gave me sage councel. BUY - BUY - BUY. Great advice. I went out and bought a 95 emerald green viper. Driving it back from the dealer through Houston's highway (with the top down) was a rush. How do I get a picure of my car on the left side of the postings ? As I said, I'm a newbee.

Yes, tan interior. Went out looking to upgrade to a newer Jag XK8 and ended up getting a Viper. After driving it, YOO HOO !! Kept the old XK8 to drive while it's raining. I'm very fortunate. My wife got hooked the first time she saw it, told me I should get it. That was day before yesterday folks. By the way, at what RPM's should you shift for highway driving ? I can't hear the engine. What a car !

Manny-- assuming stock transmission, I will shift into 6th at 65 mph.

Around town, I usually shift around 2k. Plenty of torque to pull you around.

Way to go! I love the emerald cars. Did you see the how to forum with regard to adding stripes to the car? Green w/silver stripes is the hizzle.

Around town I shift between 2K and 3500. I use 6th all the time when I want to keep the motor cool and the rpm down.

Enjoy that green. Not too many of those around.

Around town I shift @ 5500 rpm. On the highway I shift into 6th @ 140 mph.
