In my case they don't seem to get dirty other than the break pad dust, and that is not real bad. That is in contrast to the factory three spoke which were always full of break dust. I just wash them when I wash the car. I nicked the area around the lug nuts and just removed the scratch with emery cloth and buffed with a very fine rubbing compound.
Just one comment on the factory three spoke wheel for those that still have them. I guarantee that every one of those has some runnout on the rear wheels. If there is no runnout they haven't been driven.
