rev limiter

Have a 05 Vert with a 3.55 rear end. Question -- If the rev limiter were disabled, could the engine be safely reved to a higher limit and, if so, how high. I would think 6500rpm would be easily available w a stock engine. Obviously, the present rev limiter does help when one is inattentive.

I would suggest a dyno reading so you may judge at what Rpm you get maximum HP. Once established-- there is absolutley no reason to go much higher. Maybe 200 to compensate for the drop when shifting-- but that would be all. You're asking for trouble reving it higher. John
