Short throw shifter rattles

When I am in any gear and the RPM are around 4000 to 4500 the short throw shifter starts to rattle. Can someone please help me out with this problem.

It should not rattle if installed properly. It may be that when yout short shifter was installed that someone left out the plastic bushing in the trany that the shifter ball end fits into. Sometimes it comes out with the stock shifter and some techs forget to put it back.
