Wow, do I disagree, I think the 360 modena is a beautiful car, I ran into a guy at a mall last weekend with a red roadster and I think I fell in love! But I CANNOT get used to the look of the car I think you are talking about, I don't even know why, it may be aerodynamic but it looks like a Mosler mated with a Bricklin to me.

I don't think that the F60 is a good example.
When I saw the first pictures of the F60, I thought that they were a poor Photoshop joke, being an awkward morph of a regular Ferrari and a F1 car.

But as time passed the F60's looks have improved to me.
Aerodynamics aside, I would have much preferred that the F60 look more like the Ferrari Rossa Concept car:

I prefer the looks of the 355 to the 360, and prefer the look both of those designs to the F60, despite it's potentially amazing performance.

I like the looks of the upcoming Mercedes SLR and Porsche Carrera GT to the SRT-10, and the F60. But at more than $250K for the new Lambo, SLR and GT, and $600K+ for the F60, those are all just poster-pipe-dream cars that will be sold to the Bill Gates' of the world, and probably rarely (if ever) be driven on the streets.

The Ferrari FX is another car I really appreciate. I prefer the F50 from an aesthetic standpoint, and I prefer the Modena to both of them, but given the choice (equal prices), I'd take the FX... I think it's kinda cool looking the way it resembles an F1 car!

I feel the same about the SRT - I think I prefer the GTS styling overall (although I'm really not sure), but as a package, the GenII does not even come close to the GenIII (IMO).

P.S. is the new VW car *really* called the Nardo? That's the nickname we used to use for ****** when I was in grade school!

It all comes back to taste. I thought the F60 looked cheap, yet I still find the F40 very appealing. The 360 does not impress me at all, but maybe that is because I drove it and found it less fun than a Z06? This is way to subjective of a topic. I guess that this is why we get to buy what WE each like?

JMGuire,

I actually don't think that the Mercedes F400 Carving looks like it copied much if anything from the Ferrari Rossa. http://www.pistonheads.com/news/images/3093-03.jpg It is about the same size, and has a similar profile, but with the angled wheels it's a pretty whacky looking car:

The F400 reminds me more of the Lotus 340R, which also has an open cockpit, open wheel look to it.

Here's a pic of the W12 VW Nardo:
http://www.automotorsport.se/reportage/1000hk/VW_Nardo1_448.jpg Which I think looks like a cross between the Saleen S7 and the Lambo Murcielago.

And for comparison's sake, pics of the Merc SLR:

The F60:

And the Carrera GT:

I think that it's going to be great that the performance of the SRT-10 will be close to many of these $$$ super-exotic cars.
