Been on a three week vacation overseas - Started 96 GTS on my return - it started up perfect. That was yesterday. This morning it did not fire on the first normal crank. Had to crank it over several times to get it to fire. Ran normal.
Starting it again this evening at work - it also took abnormally long to fire up.
Ran fine on the drive home.
went back into the garage about 15 minutes after getting home and could smell a bit of a burning rubber smell - like a slipping belt would produce.
ANY IDEAS?
Thank you
Gavin

Hi Gavin. Turn the key on for about 5 seconds before engaging the starter. This will give the fuel pump time to build pressure. Regarding the smell??? Bring the car to the meeting tomorrow. Ted May usually attends the meetings.
