Hopefully you guys can help. 04 30k PS2s. When I hit a compression joint in the road or a sharp bump in general I get a loose steering wheel shake. Its just started a month ago. Im guessing that it might be a bad shock but im looking for some conformation or guidance to look elsewhere .

Thanks.

check the front end for loose parts-check swaybars-check shocks-check tires and alighnment---anything that is even slightly lookin worn needs to be replaced on a car of this caliber--if it is all there it should be good

Check your ball joints and tie rod ends for sure. Is your car lowered? If so, then you might need a bump steer kit.

Look at the rack & pinion mounting locations

I am installing a paxton now and had to remove the rack bolts and spacers which all seemed ok.

So no chance on it being a shock? I will put it on jack stands and start shaking crap until I find something loose .
