Here is the situation...I park the car in the garage and set the alarm. "Lights flash" Next day, I hit the disarm/unlock button and the horn blows a few short times. I know for a fact that nothing "disturbed" the car during that time. Why is it doing this? Also, if I come back within a short period of time and disarm the alarm there is no horn.

Thanks
Mark

Mark,
I get the same thing from time to time. The only thing I can determine is that ghosts are trying to break into the car....no one else has access to my garage ????

THIS IS SOMETHING OF A COMMON PROBLEM, USUALLY THE MULTIPLE HONKS INDICATE THAT SOMEONE HAS DISTURBED THE CAR WHILE THE ALARM WAS SET. IT CAN MEAN THAT AT SOME POINT IN TIME THE HOOD MAY HAVE BEEN NOT CLOSED PROPERLY WHEN THE ALARM WAS SET OR EVEN THAT THE BATTERY WAS DEAD OR CLOSE TO DEAD AND SOMEONE HAD TO USE THE EMERGENCY RELEASE ON THE B-PILLAR. THIS IS NOT A REVERSIBLE CONDITION WITHOUT REPLACING THE ELECTRONIC ENTRY MODULE ACCORDING TO MY CONTACTS AT DMC. THE TROUBLE WITH NO HONK AFTER ARMING USUALLY MEANS A DOOR, HOOD OR BACKGLASS IS OPEN STILL, IF NOT, THEN YOU PROBABLEY HAVE A BAD UNDERHOOD PIN SWITCH WHICH IS ALSO FAIRLY COMMON AND NOT A BIG DEAL TO REPLACE.
