Test Ride For Prospective Owner In Northern VA Area?

Hi Guys,

I'm a first time poster here and have been in love with the Viper for quite a long time. I have recently been promoted and can finally start being serious about a Viper purchase. I have my heart set on a 1998-2000 Red GTS.

I would be very appreciative if there is anyone in the Northern Virginia area (I live near Chantilly VA) that wouldn't mind giving me a tour of their GTS and perhaps taking me for a ride (on a nice day of course). I've sat in one a while ago but have yet to ride in one. I know the Viper is a fantastic car but want to experience one before I start shopping.

Yeah, I'm expecting that.

I just want to get a feel for the car to make sure it is right for me. I love the way they look and I know they perform very well. Nothing out there compares in the 35-50k market in my opinion. I could get a Z06 but I'm not a fan of the C5 platform at all (I have a few friends that own them) and don't care to own a newer C6 either. There is just something that draws me to the Viper.

I need a taste And as a rule, as the temperature rises so does the cost of sports cars.

from you. If you can come up to Owings Mills, Maryland ( just nw of
Baltimore) I would be glad to give you a ride. Also, if you look under the
'regions' on the home page, try and hook up with Ron Hickey, our region
club president. He may also be able to help you out or help hook up with another club member there, he's in your area.

Adam, Mark rents out his car as a business. If you really want the full treatment rent the car for the whole day and see how you like it on your own terms. As a buyer it could be worth every penny.

If you do decide to take him up on his offer to ride be sure you will is in proper order first, the man's driving will put a lot of stress on your heart.

Can't go wrong with Mark's ride for the day. Also, send a note to Ron Hickey, our chapter president. You should stop over and see his garage. Two GTS' and a lift. Aint a bad setup at all.

There are lots of us in the local chapter that can help you out.

Take the extra time and look for a car for sale by a club member. You'll thank yourself later. Good Luck!

Oh and by the way. I have owned a C5 and a close relative has a Z06. The Corvette is a great car and has its reasons for purchase. However, you are making the right choice.
