To remove muffler or not?

I've been toying with the idea of removing the muffler from my 96 GTS. I've got high flow Random Tech cats with a 3" Borla exhaust, but I would like it a little louder. I'm sure the horsepower gain would be negligible, but would anyone advise against it?

I can hear ricers a mile away, and I've yet to see or hear about one getting pulled over for loud exhaust.

The only downside might be an increase in cabin drone. The Snakeoyl rear muffler delete increased drone dramatically.
