WET-WET-WET

5 MB - Quicktime-Movie

Between the blue plates is a concrete plate moving to the side when the car is on the plate with the rear tires! The object for the driver is to bring the car back to a straight. Obviously not easy. After the concrete plate is a VERY slippery piece of road - like ice.

Hey What does all that slidding do on the TIRES, since they are not turning any more. I am sure the water helps, but does it flat spot them at all, especially at the end, when you slide off that surface and onto the asphalt ?? BTW, what knowledge is gained from this type of activity ?? (meaning what driver control, skillset is improved by this test/activity??)

1) Pics of the babes will follow soon...
2) No, the tires are not flat spotted.
3) The car comes to a sudden stop at the end of the slippery surface.
4) Aim: to get the car under control again.

We had 2 out of 19 drivers who got the car under control again during each run! It needs a lot of experience and since the tires are so wide and the surface is so slippery it is very, very hard to get control back.
