So I need rear tires & promised myself when I needed them I'd do the full set & wheels. I was hoping to pick up a set of used ACRs, but geesh, none around for months that I've found & I missed a primo set while I was gathering my $. I like the lightweight & certainly the look too.

Now with the SSRs on sale & with Khumos I'm looking at like $3400, I'm seriously considering them. They are anthracite & I'm thinking of accenting with a 3M drivers stripe in anthracite to pull it together on my black SRT.

I've been looking at pics, but does anyone have a pic or opinion on how the 18" SSR will look with stock suspension? How about the anthracite on a black SRT? I found a thread where the SSR is said to lower the rear end about .7 inches, so I'm also concerned about lowering it further to "close-up" the sheel well, if I do Eibachs, total drop would be like 1.5" which worries me with my roads.

I have no one else to sound-board with, so welcoming input from the Viper crowd. Thnx

If you've got the stock 19's on the rears now, I think the 18's all around will look less aggressive. I assume you are going to run these as a street setup and not exclusively on the track?

Which Kumho's? If you are concerned about ride quality, maybe dropping it and going with the Nitto Invo's would soften it up. When I first drove on my Invo's, the Viper felt like a sedan compared to runflats and ps2's!

You will need to lower the car to run 18-inch rears and have it look right. IMHO, 18's on the rear help to eliminate the "stink bug" rear end up in the air look of the stock set up.

I run 18's on my 06 VOI 9 Coupe with Moton Club Sports (car is lowered) and HRE wheels. Car looks very good. My wife loves to drive this car and no issues with bumps.

I also run Forgeline polished SX3's in 18' on the back of my 04 Paxton SRT - but more for tire selection and traction than looks though this car looks very mean. It also has Motons and is lowered. No issues with bumps and our roads **** too.

SSR's work very well as track wheels. I run them on my 09 ACR at the track.

Good luck,

Dan
