    Assuming you use the same grad/weight/viscosity oil the reason the oil pressure is higher is because new oil is not sheared down, that is the old oil becomes less viscous with use.....

    54,000 miles This is a snow belt car bought new in Jun '05, so it is on the road about 9 months a year. I drive daily when the roads are salt free. I travel from IA to NH 2 to 4 times a year in addition to driving it to work....

    I totally agree with the operating temp statement. (My '04 has a 17 psi pressure cap). I would bet that the collapsing upper hose cars have a leaking high pressure radiator cap (or a leak somewhere else in the system) or are not warmed up when run at high speed.

    Drive it! Just watch the weather - avoid snow and ice, rain won't hurt it! My '04 just turned 54,000 and makes multiple 1300 one way tripos each year. I did install cruise to avoid tickets. Enjoy your ride!
