Could this be the super-secret, all-wheel drive, NAVY mil-spec. (Note the battleship grey, non-reflective paint) Paris-to-Dakar version? With the high-flow Nickel-Cadmium intakes?
Paul: Please confirm or deny, either directly or through your publicist...unless, of course, it's still classified...

I ran 335's up front on 12.5" x 18" Purner wheels for two seasons with only minor rubbing and only at full lock. Stock wheel wells and the car was lowered 1 1/2". But as the prior post indicated: do not roll car with the hood open as they will drag on that expensive hood.

Regarding the belts. I've been running in the Viper Days Unlimited group for a few years now. I upgraded from the Simpson style to the TeamTech for one safety reason: The nylon "breast plate" between the two belts that run vertically from shoulder to waist in the TeamTech design reduce the...
Cain's Tire in San Rafael. The latest equipment. Priority service. They know the Viper well. I've had my '99 GTS there many, many times as we played with Caster, Camber and Toe settings for various Viper road racing events.

The way John Purner makes 'em, they're half the weight of stock wheels and three times as strong as other aftermarket wheels available for the Viper (read: less unsprung weight which allows more opportunity for traction and less inertial mass to overcome which translates to faster...
Here's the starting grid for The Relay--minutes before launch. A couple of vintage cars were still making their way over to the third row when this was taken...the Porsche guys were smugly confident (so what else is new?)...they had a big surprise coming from the Team Viper...
Just spoke with the photographer. Photos should be ready this week. I'll post 'em as soon as they are available.
Had a great time with a great bunch of drivers. The Ford guys were great too.
