either that guy owns the junk yard where the bmw was at or he is lieing like mad i priced one thru a dealership and if i remeber correct it was like 10 grand.Im assuming it's the new n73 that is in the 760 and not the mcclaren motor.- striker79

Becoming a Viper Technician?
Not knowing to much about what it would take to become a viper tech i can not give you a path or anything on how to get there.But i can tell you that most likly you will have to be a master tech to even look at a viper let alone touch one in the field and that could take up to five or more years...- striker79

ASD Relay - Intermittant "clicking" Fuel Pump relay etc...HELP
Re: ASD Relay - Intermittant well i most likly screw this up as i have no experiance on vipers but beemers are gonna have to be close enough.Alright usally when o2 sensors go bad the get "lazy" when they are working properly the go rich lean fast when they go bad they go rich lean alot slower...- striker79

Re: What\'s in the VIN? i don't know about dc but bmw's are the first three are who made it fourth thru seventh are the model code 8th is restraint system 9 is a check digit 10 is a model year identifier and 11th is a plant code and 12-17 are sequential production number.So dc may do it...- striker79

check engine light was on, drove the car, light is off, what does it mean???
means it is not really important like if your gas cap was loose it would sent a code so all you would do is tighten it and the ecu see's that and turns the light off basically it was fixed ot fixed it self- striker79

96 GTS FAILED SMOG TEST
This may sound stupid but did you drive it around to let it warm up.Other than that unless you added a adjustable fuel regulator check your plugs and wire's possible fuel filter clogged or air cleaner.- striker79

Service at dealership
I wonder if the corvette guy's run into the same problems. The reason i ask is to me the viper's and corvette guy probably run into the same problem's when getting there cars serviced at the dealership your pride and joy 75-80 thousand dollar car sits next to a front wheel drive four cylinder...- striker79

Serious question: Do Viper owners (bad ones) disconnect the odometer??
I know a guy that has a 2000 Camaro that he thought he could disconnect a fuse and the car would not get excessive mile on the car so he could sell it later.So one day he gets a chevy scanner and sure enough the miles are stored in the BCM and just roll the right mile's when he hooks it back up...- striker79
