My old Viper GTS popped up on the market. Looks like the gentleman I sold it to in 05 dumped it for cheap to some backwoods used car dealership (or they picked it up at auction). He was a friend of mine's boss..wealthy and a big car enthusiast. Looks like he drove it less than 1k miles a...
Hey Guys,
The Dulles Dodge dealership on Rt.50 appears to be closed and has turned into a Kia dealer :(
Where are you Northern Virginia guys getting your Vipers inspected? Did the Viper Tech move to the Chrysler dealer across the street?
Thanks!
Adam
Ok,
I live in Northern Virginia. I called up the local Dodge dealer off Rt.50 in Chantilly. I was quoted....drumroll please...whip out the KY..........$2100.00 to do an alignment and replace the front upper and lower control arm bushings. Holy crap. crap.crap. That's right, 12 hours...
Hurst Shifter "Height Issue"
Ok, so I've been working on the Viper the past couple weekends doing loads of routine maintenance and adding some goodies.
One of those goodies being a Hurst shifter I got from Tator. The issue I have is it is taller than the stock shifter. I have an MGW knob...
Can anyone recommend a product out there to actually LOG RPM vs A/F with the LC-1? I don't have a VEC. I imagine there has to be a relatively inexpensive product out there that allows you to plug up to the LC-1 and the serial port on your PC for logging purposes?
Am I missing something? I...
Hi Guys, After nearly 5 years I've decided to become a full blown VCA member! :)
I need to get my control arm bushings replaced. Any suggestions on where to go? I usually take my car to Dulles Dodge, out in Chantilly for inspections. I was quoted $750 to do the control arm bushings and...
Ok ok. I'm itching to buy something, this may not last long as I do have a baby on the way. SO....Should I pull the trigger on an LC-1 Wideband and a Short shifter? I'm doing a little exhaust project and will have the exhaust apart anyway so I figured I could put in an LC-1 for the heck of...
So here is my problem:
I have a Borla exhaust that does not have a 3" inlet, but a 2.5" inlet to accept the stock catalytic converter piping. I would like to get 3" cats, but to do that would require a 3" to 2.5" reducer for each end of the cat. I have been speaking with Jon B and actually...
So Damned Yankees 3 strikes and your out speech has gotten to me :D
I know, this has probably been beaten to death but:
I need some high flow cats. My 98 GTS has a Borla Exhaust and custom straight pipes at the moment. The Borla has the 2.5" reducer welded on at the end where the cat pipe...
I'm probably going to throw these up on ebay sooner or later and figured I would give you guys first shot.
I bought them from a fellow Viper buddy a while ago but decided not to use them. The cats and muffler delete have approximately 10k miles on them and appear to be in good shape. I can...
Looking ahead and thinking about snagging a set of used after market headers for my GTS. Anyone have a set lying around? I don't necessarily care what brand as long as they fit correctly and aren't damaged.
I'll take a set of 3" high flow cats too.
Thanks. :usa:
Have We Forgotten????????? 9/11
In light of the 8 posts the other thread got I feel the need to post this:
My father had best friends die that day, my best friends had fathers die that day.......
I remember exactly where I was. I was in college feeling invincible. As I was taking a shower...
I used to swap emails back and forth with him quite frequently and was going to purchase a few things off of him and then one day POOF he is gone. He used to post pretty frequently on this board.
Anybody hear from him? The last I spoke with him was in September or so. Since then he hasn't...
Last time I was under the car I noticed the front control arm bushings weren't in very good shape.
Anyone here change them out? Tator confirmed my assumption that it's a pain in the butt. I was thinking the easiest solution would be to take the parts out and have a shop do the bushings...
Ok, so I was looking at an 02 sim box the other day, from Roe, and noticed that there is a label on the box that reads:
WARNING
"You must confirm that +12V on vehicle harness is on PIN 1 before connecting simulator. A number of Dodge applications may have 12V and ground swapped. Vehicle ECU...
Roe sells some, but not sure they are plug and play.
A few talked about doing ebay "alternatives" to 100+ dollar 02 sims a while back. Any results from that experiment? Anyone give me the low down on the best way to go? I need to pass the "plug in" OBD2 code scan/smog check (no more sniffer...
I am trying to source a set of 02 sensors so I can use the harnesses off of them to attach a set of 02 simulators without hacking up my perfectly good ones. So, if you have a couple bad sensors lying around I would love to have them. Perhaps ALL 02 sensors for the Viper have the same harness...
Yeah yeah, I know,a poser mod but I think they look pretty good. Anyone know the best place to get a set? The only place I have seen them is Ebay. Thought I might be able to purchase from a supporting vendor instead.
Also, anyone have a set of Cats or headers lying around or maybe some MGW...
Dyno was a dynojet. Car is a 98 GTS with 10000 miles.
Highest Corrected WHP/WTQ was 410/449
I was pretty happy with the results. The only mods are smooth tubes, K&Ns, and a Vipair. Im running rich up top after 5500RPM, but the AF curve the rest of the band is pretty darned good.
1st...
Could someone run a VIN check for me. This is not a Viper but I was hoping someone could return the favor for my mass Carfax effort in the past.
VIN: 4TARN01P6SZ329462
Thank you very much!
