DIY Exhaust

I am thinking of saving a few bucks and doing my own upgrades. I am going to start with headers and exhaust. There is a good cat back how to on the forum, anyone have experience doing headers? And what recommendations for brand of headers / exhaust? I want to maximize the increase so a 3" system with crossover is what I am thinking of. I have a lift, compressor and every tool you can think of.

Good luck on finding a spot to route the crossover.

If you want to save a few bucks start by deleting the muffler. Next you could go with hi-flows or remove the cat completely, however if you remove the cat completely you will probably want to replace the resonators with mufflers.

Those changes alone will give you a decent sound and HP boost. 3 inch pipes increase sound but probably don't give much HP boost. Just my opinion.

Last you could shell out the $1,500+ for headers.

Just some thoughts. Every Viper is different.
