That was the 2002 One Lap of America (or "The Cannonball Run") at a dirt track in Tulsa, Oklahoma"

That Viper is the car that WON the One Lap that year.

It was NOT 700 hp as the vette video shows, although the it likely seemed that way to the vette crowd over the course of the events.

I got to drive that Viper and it was a "Daytona edition prototype" ACR equipped and the preview car for the Final Edition Vipers.

If I remember correctly, there was a video of a Lambo the same day on the track. I thought it was funny!!

We ran the same track in the 2003 One lap. Ended up 7th out of some 80 vehicles.

That looks like a 3/8 mile track.
I timed a clean lap from the video and got 22 seconds.

I ran a four cylinder car on a 3/8 mile dirt track for a couple of seasons and did better than 22 seconds.
And that was in traffic.

If it's a 1/2 mile he's not quite so bad.
Does anyone know if it really is a 3/8 mile track? Sure looks like one to me.

If a car isn't set up for dirt, it's very hard to make it go fast.
