Beware, I got this e-mail regarding the 2005 SRT-10 wheels and tires I have for sale in the VCA classifieds:

Hello,
Thanks for your mail ,I would have loved to contact you directly on
phone to
discuss this transaction because it would have been a lot better that
way
but unfortunately that wont be possible because my office just moved to
a
new building and construction/renovation work is still going on so our
lines
are not yet in order and as a matter of company policy all
transactions are
coordinated officially through the office so am afraid we are gonna
have to
work online for a possible transaction.
However,my client said that i should inform you that payment will get
to
you in a cashiers check of ($6,300)which is a refund payment of an
initial
cancelled order earlier made by my client.
Due to company policy this check has to be made out in this amount to
you, because company policy only allows a refund payment only on one
cashiers
cheque,so you are required to deduct cost of your(wheels)$3,300 when
payment
gets to you and refund balance $3000 to my customer's shipper in
texas via
western union money transfer or money gram transfer for the shipper to
be
able to make the shipping arrangment and come for the pickup of the
wheels

After payment has reached you and balance sent back to the
shipper,their
agent will come for the pick up to drive to a prepaid shipper to have
the
wheel shipped to my customer, while title papers and other necessary
documents
will be sent by you via fedex courier to my customer.

Please confirm this and provide name, address and phone number for check
payment to be delivered to you via courier service.
Thanks and God bless,

Why not just accept the fake check, cash it (work with the bank, keeping them in the loop), and see where it goes? To me, it seems like turnabout is fair play (as long as the bank is in the loop).
