Viper RPM Question

Don't mean to jump on any of the thunder from the new 08' Viper posts, but can someone please let me know what their Viper is running for RPM at 75 mph with the gear change:

RPM at 75 mph with 3.33 gears?

RPM at 75 mph with 3.55 gears?

Since I do not set land speed records in my Viper, I would just liek to be able to comfortably drive it in 6th gear at 75 mph. Right now with stock gears, it revs way too low to comfortably do this.

Just curious guys!

At any given speed, the 3.33's should raise the RPM by roughly 8%, 15% for the 3.55's. Not sure a couple of hundred RPM is going to make much of a difference.

Thanks;

I guess I would have expected it to raise the final RPM a bit more considering the 5th and 6th gear are overdrive gears, so to speak.

Someone with these gear changes have some actual numbers for me?

Thanks in advance.

Coloviper, Your 5th and 6th gear ratios are a constant and don't effect the calculation. As ccronald suggested, take your RPM at any given speed and any given gear and multiply by 1.08 to appromimate 3.33 gears or 1.15 to approximate 3.55s. (3.07 * 1.08 = 3.32 gears) and 3.07 * 1.15 = 3.53 gears).

Your calculation for 3.55 gears with stock tires would be virtually the same as my '06 with 3.55 gears and stock tires. Good luck..
