I am installing a boost gauge, and am looking for a keyed wire that is hot only when the headlights are on (for the back light on the gauge). Anyone now where to find this beneath the dash?

Thanks!

Somebody that has install instructions for a vec1 can answer that. The vec1 uses a wire right behind the headlight switch....lacking someone telling you the correct wire you can use a test light.

For my shift light, I used a Littelfuse add-a-circuit fuse holder or something just like it from Autozone. I didn't want to have to get upside down under the dash in order to splice wires properly. This is easily removed and you could put it in the location of a fuse for a circuit such as the panel lights which are switched with the Headlights.
