WTB: Muffler delete or Exhaust

Anyone have an aftermarket exhaust or muffler delete they they would like to get rid of?

Why not just go to a muffler shop and have the rear muffler replaced with pipes? That's what most of us do.

I attempted to do that with my last viper. Unfortunately there aren't any shops in my area that will do it for under 400 dollars. They all require me to put my car on a lift and do all the measurements before attempting the project. On my first attempt they almost dropped the car off the lift. The only shops that I would turst to do it would cost an arm and a leg for welding etc...they charge about 100 an hour just for labor here.

If you have any suggestions, I would be happy to hear them.

Ouch! I think I paid $125 (maybe less) to have my old muffler cut off, pipes put in its place and they welded my stock tips back onto the new pipes to retain the stock look. $125 was for parts and labor

In 2000, I paid $30 for parts and labor....stock tips back on. It only took a 1/2 hour start to finish. Of course labor is higher now, but it still should only take a half hour to do. Pretty basic stuff for a muffler shop.

I love mine! Sounds mean and loud, pops like crazy, but quiet enough to have a conversation when youre just doing normal driving

I had a local muffler shop take off the muffler off my ACR to see how it would sound, but it wasn't perceivably any louder to me. I had an X-pipe made and now I love the sound it makes.

I don't think I know Brett Hack. What kind of Viper does he have?

A muffler shop did my delete for $150. Isn't Tom Sessions in your area?

Come on, one of you guys/gals out there has to have a muffler delete sitting in the garage or a used exhaust system up for grabs? Actually I'm thinking about headers too, so those can be included as well. Heck, I'm also thinking about 3.55s

Muffler delete = 2 pieces of 2.5" pipe about 18" long each. Total cost.........probably about $15.

Do your own B&B type..
2000 GTS - take off sills, sawzall after catalytic..
buy an after market full 90 degree X-pipe -
eBay etc. for about $35. Local muffler shop
good quality straight pipes and weld in X-pipe - $100.
Aftermarket nice Chrome 4 inch tips - $17 each.
