I know it's the last event of the year but it's really the only event I can attend. Anyways, I was on Daytona's site today and saw this.

Has anyone been contacted by DIS and will this event still happen?

Auto Week has an article that says repaving the entire track right after the July 3rd Nascar race and will be CLOSED to all events and track rentals for the rest of the year.

I think they were trying Barber on Monday as a replacement. Maybe Rob can get Road Atlanta.

The local media here in Volusia County are speculating the repaving will begin after the July race and take 6-8 months. The goal is to be ready of course for the 2011 Daytona 500.
