Key doesn't work
When I purchased. My 2002 FE a couple of years ago I got two keys with the car. One worked and the other didn't. I figured it was a bad battery but I recently replaced the battery and it still doesn't work. Ay suggestions? Thanks in advance, Brentt- Brentt

Gen II re-sale seems the same if not more than Gen III
I relate the Viper to other collectable cars. For instance: When early Fords started to become collectable is was the 32, 34, 36, 38, and 40 everyone wanted. The odd numbered years were left on the side, that is, until all the even years were bought up, then they begin to rise in price too...- Brentt

There's not a true gearhead alive that hasn't always wanted a Viper. The reason they don't own one is because in the past they have been too expensive or too hard to come by. As prices come down they will be affordable to a larger range of people and it won't take long for the market to realize...- Brentt

Should I RTV the oil pan gasket???
Ditto limited us of rtv. I've also seen it clog-up oil pumps to the point of restricting oil flow. And never use it on the bottom of a bolt as it can bottom out and hydralic crack the hole.- Brentt

Yeah, Cruise control on a standard, How do you do that? And what gives that second car 1300hp, the sticker on the side? Finding a nice FE is tough. I spent two months sending emails and phone calls to the seller before I bought mine.- Brentt

Mark, According to Dodge Viper Final Edition Registry the car went up for sale April 8th 2006 in Lubbock Texas with 22,000 miles. That means the car has been for sale for over four years. Why would a car dealer keep putting the same car on Ebay and paying the fees when the car never sells...- Brentt

How much of attention getter are Vipers?
I really depends on the crowd. I'm often just as amazed by the people who don't recognize a viper as those who do. While my 14 year old daughter will spot someone wearing coach shoes, it goes right over my head, and the same is true of the viper. If it's a car person, you're going to get...- Brentt
