    I know this is an old thread but...... Has anyone heard any more on this? I can't seem to find any new information at all. This occurred about 100 yards from my house, so I see that tree everyday. It still has some memorial items at its base. It is a not-so-pleasant reminder.

    Re: My car doesn\'t want to idle!! Nobody mentioned intake manifold gasket leak? Happened three times on the '96. Symptoms were the same as yours. Get it checked out.
