agree. Proper driving shoes (or light and tight) make a huge difference. I wear a sz 13 and have specific shoes that I wear while driving the viper or my 911. I drove home from my office once in work boots and it was a nightmare in an old e46 I had.
Thanks for the response and including your solution to this post.
I had a plug and play headunit that I installed a few years ago and subwoofer didn't work properly. I was able to find a setting somewhere inside the unit that allowed me to swap polarity and once doing this everything worked...
I replaced them with aftermarket an ones during my paxton SC install and I recall the fan connectors being extremely tight. I was worried about rounding them off or breaking the fan fitting.
In the end I was able to bust them loose but I did consider cutting the hose and using a socket to...
I have used HP tuners (MVPI3) with my 2004 Gen 3. I worked with a tuner after my paxton supercharger install and was able to log fine and send some logs back and forth with him to get it all sorted out. Getting the serial input from the AEM wideband had me pulling my hair out and multiple times...
I think the belt had some issues when I first installed it (I bought the kit used). it also looks like there was contact between the alternator pulley and the supercharger pulley at one time. I ordered a new pulley, tensioner, couple belts and reached out to Doug about the DLM belt fix kit.
I...
Hey all, Just curious if anyone has any photos or procedures for the belt replacement on a Gen 3 Paxton kit? I installed the kit myself and had a belt snap yesterday. I know when installing the kit I had to route the belt before the blower was mounted. I am assuming I will need to undo the plate...
Any comments on the route you ended up going to get these mounts swapped out? I had my oil pan off for Paxton install but am really not wanting to pull it again if I can help it. If not shell come off again.
Thanks
I did this on my 2004 following the manual procedure (I also believe I was able to use my Autel scanner). I programmed three key fobs including the original again. I think you just need to repeat the process for each fob before completing the process. I would try again
I didn't actually use the factory harness all the way into the car. I just attached on the factory harness until it left the trunk. After that I just ran the wiring into the cabin and under the carpet (behind the driver seat) into the centre console.
I installed my camera in my trunk and ran the wiring along the factory harness. I then was able to snake it through the interior under the back carpet and then up through the center console. Car is up on the lift for winter now but ill look back and see if I have any photos of the install...
I am also going to be swapping motor mounts and trans mount right away (tried last night so undo the bolts but they were too tight and I was too lazy to spend a ton of time after work). I think I am going to have to try out my induction heater device to get those bolts out. I may not get a...
I also had an intermittent issue on my 04 mamba edition. My issue was the connector to the wiper stalk behind the steering wheel cowl. It appeared to be connected properly. I disconnected and cleaned (no burnt pins or any issues I could see) and reconnected and all was good for a couple weeks...
When I last pulled my center console I noticed that I was missing one of the clips that the shifter ring trim screws into. I have also taken this off an on a bunch of times so some of the others are also not quite as tight as they used to be. I would like to order a set of these and replace them...
Ill just give an update. I think the issue is in the headunit. I installed a **** controller and wideband in advanced of my paxton install this winter and maybe a metal shaving went in there and shorted something out (triggered by the bump.. I did go through the harness and ensure all pins were...
