I need a temporary storage solution for the viper outside for 6 months to a year. Can i get away with a 8x16 enclosed trailer? I do not plan on transporting the car in it. All the searches on this site people are saying 20-24 feet long but thatch because they want to store extra sets of tires...
Thanks steve,
If i dont need to drive the car , can i order some new keyfobs and program the new key fobs? without having to bypass the current security?
My keyfob quit working, and i smashed it trying to get it back together. It was my last one. I need to disable the alarm so I can drive the car. Whats the trick?
Also what are my options for getting new keyfobs and having them programmed? I assume the dealer will kill me $
Drove around to all the local body shops, noone would touch it. Found one shop that has aluminum guys they charge $125 an hour, he said will take him 6 hours to fix it, then charge me to paint it. Looking at minimum of $1000... Seems a rip off, but I dont think I have a choice.
That fuel pump primer timer seems like a ton of work. The long cranking time is annoying but after 8 to 10 seconds it does eventually start. I was hoping it was a cheap easy fix. $400 for a regulator seems quite high, where can you purchase those?
Are gen 1 side sills aluminum? That white stuff is most likely from the garage wall. I thought maybe a big chunk of the side sill was ripped off and would need filler. If aluminum maybe its just bent in?
Either way, the black part of the side will will need to be repainted I assume, is that...
I would hate to have to replace it, it seems minor for me but I am not an expert here. I left a message with don sharf to get a quote. I may have to wait around until a used one pops up for sale. They seem to be quite expensive to buy.
I have the same problem in my 93. Takes forever to start. I wasnt clear reading above, is the problem the fuel regulator at the pump for just the long start? Where can one puchase this? is it an easy fix?
1992 (early 1993) Viper:
So I didnt clear the garage door opening on the passenger side due to an over packed garage.
The passenger side, side sill got snagged and a big chunk of it (around the exhaust tip) was scrapped off. Along with the exhaust tip smashed in. A couple scratches as well...
I drive around without the top 100% of the time. And i love having the softtop there for emergencies. I understand it doesn't look appealing but its functional. and quick to put together.
I have a 1992 and a 1994 soft top.
The 1992 top: The car was being towed backwards on a tow truck and the back of the top was not latched in properly, so it came undone and flapped up and down in the wind and the 2 side bars were damage. The vinyl part is fine, however the 2 side bars that...
I snapped my rear left half shaft due to wheel hop and ended up replacing them with some newer stronger ones. However, I was told at the time that broken one could be fixed and the one that is not broken should be worth something.
Is this true? Or should I throw these out? They are stock from...
