I concur, the throttle response and off boost power is night and day difference!
Have you tried a Goodyear gatorback belt? I had slipping issues on my c5 a couple years ago from stretching and the gatorback cured the problem.

275/35r18 has a 96.25mm sidewall.
285/35r18 has a 99.75mm sidewall.
295/30r18 has an 88.5mm sidewall.
If anything a 295/30 is too small and you'll add tire to fender gap. Gross.
285/35 is the best as it fills the wheel well BARELY more and gives you more tread width.
Is that rod (bolt) supposed to stay on there all the time? I ask because my paxton car doesn't have it installed. I do have the bolt and block, previous owner left it in the trunk.
