My story: I owned a 1968 Shelby GT500 for 11 years, but sold it when my third child was on the way. Unfortunately, this was 2 years before they started a rapid climb in the late 80s. The Viper came out about 6 years later, and I was struck with its awesomeness. My GT500 was a beast, but the Viper was a beast of a beast. Married with 4 kids and pinching pennies, it was not a good choice for my next car. Now, an empty nester for a little over six years, that door opened a crack for me. At my last dentist visit, I read an article about the end of Viper production. I figured it was buy one now or forget it. Had to convince my wife of 38 years ... a real tough sales job, but she got on board. Did I mention that I have a wonderful wife? We were pleasantly surprised at the number of clean, low mileage Vipers on the market. We look forward to meeting fellow Viper owners at the various meets.
