After 3 weeks of owning, not a good start!
Its the transmission. Dodge will put a new tranny in. The exact same thing happened to me 4 weeks ago. Same scenerio, shifting into second, loud noise. My dealer told me that its policy to just replace the whole tranny. I have 13k on my '03- mnsilversrt10

Loud Cracking Noise?
I had the same thing happen to me a few weeks ago....got on it in first and then when I was shifting to 2nd Kaboom! Same cracking noise you guys are describing. I haven't noticed anything wrong since?- mnsilversrt10

Clutch Slave Cylinder Failure???
Re: Clutch Slave Cylinder Failure??? Rats! Your symptoms that you described are exactly what happened to my 2001 Z06 to a tee. Every time I took it in, it would shift fine. Ended up trading it in before the issue was resolved.- mnsilversrt10

Anyone here own a 996 turbo and a SRT-10?
I owned a 2002 996 non-turbo, but considered the exact same scenerio... 01 996 Turbo or SRT-10. I have driven numerous 996 Turbos including the X50. launched the 911 and bought a SRT!
Well I parted ways with my O2 911 Carrera Friday and picked up a 03 Silver SRT. Any advice on where to get the best service in the Twin Cities/Minneapolis area? 2002 RT10? ...trading in Z06
When the 2003s come out, will the 2002 take a big hit on deprieciation? I am thinking about trading for a 2002 RT10 and don't want to buy at the wrong time. Look forward to your thoughts.
