Finally, taking wheels off the easy way

The wheel studs for Mustang and Viper have the same thread, I simply asked him to make them much longer to make them work on Viper's rear wheels. Fred deserves all the credit for pulling it off and then going out of his way to come up with design specific for the extenders that are longer than...

Finally, taking wheels off the easy way

You and others are very welcome. Glad to contribute something to viper community, even though it took some serious convincing to have Fred make them after making sure they fit and are long enough to be effective for the rear wheels.

Finally, taking wheels off the easy way

It is a great idea, rear wheels are PIA to take off without banging anything up. Fred is pretty cool guy, making them so long and with the internall thread and then making sure they clear the lug holes in the wheel is not easy at all. He needed some convincing regarding the length but he got...

Finally, taking wheels off the easy way

They use studs and lug nuts, just like the pick up truck. BMW uses bolts. The extenders simply thread on the existing studs. When you are done, all you do is unscrew them and replace them with lug nuts. They clear the stud holes in the wheels and are very strong. You can just hang a wheel on...

Finally, taking wheels off the easy way

Never found the wheel removal, especially the rear ones an easy process, due to no clearance between the calipers, rotors and wheels. Now, with the stud extenders, it is super easy and quick, with no towels needed to wrap calipers in fear of banging them up. Great help when dropping...

How to install fiberglass tonneau cover?

Does anyone know how the fiberglass tonneau cover mounts on the convertible? There are two latches and a pair of u shaped brackets. Seems like the u shaped brackets have to be mounted somewhere on the car to allow the hooks on the latches to stay in place. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone with hard tonneau cover for trade or sale?

Looking for a flat fiberglass tonneau cover (not the speedster bubble top) that replaces the vinyl OEM part. Outright sale or trade for carbon fiber front and rear splash guard set, made by APR (including the optional side skirt adapters. If you have one available, let me know.

Has anyone else ordered the BC coilovers from Will at RSI in the past 6 months?

You have my full empathy since I know first hand how shit like this can spoil fun of owning a Viper or any other car. Great ideas shut down by ********* vendors situations ****:nono::nono::nono:

Added two more strakes on the diffuser

They are a bit pricey but yes, they are very nice and very light as well. I know since I have one on my car.

Added two more strakes on the diffuser

APR diffuser comes with extra strakes as well, costs a bit more though for the extra strakes. Too bad you did not let me know, I could have just let you have strakes from OEM diffuser :D

Nothing only to those who are forced to pay up. Totally applicable in this case as well.

    Hellcat versus Viper transmission

Are you serious? I think you should try manual TT, the throw is remarkably short and you can shift with one finger. The shifter on Gen 5 felt better to me than the one on my Gen 4 but it was still notchy somewhat and the throw was still longer than it could be. If you want to buy Gen 5, I can...

    Hellcat versus Viper transmission

Well, do you think things could be better with Viper if clutch and manual transmission improved somewhat? From my limited experience with Porsche, there is a huge difference between Tremec in Viper and Corvette vs. Getrag. Even the older Porsche 5 speed are still better than the current Tremec.
