    I had a shot at a 1997 RT/10, red with gold (not mustard) wheels in 2000. I wasn't fast enough it was sold out from under me so I went out and bought a brand new 2000 Black RT/10. .

    Remember those 96's had cast wheels if you run it hard I've seen '96 wheels come off from the hub on a road course. .

    Doesn't matter how they were stored tires break down on a molecular level with age, pop for a new set of PS2s and make sure you check the "born" date on the sidewall. .

    Has anyone ever boiled their brake fluid while on the track? No worse feeling then entering turn #1 at WSIR and your brake pedal goes to the ground, lucky for me I was a novice at the time and wasn't going as fast as I do now. After that I switched to Catrol SRF at $50 per liter a little pricey...

    At Willow Springs I hit about 155 on the front straight in 4th before I run out of track must brake a downshift for a 90 degree left, totally stock '08 Acr.

    Brakes

    Absolutely, had the BB kit on my 2000 worked great especially at the track. I found the best pad is Brakeman 3 pads, little dust and great stopping.

    Swapped the Sport Cups for Super Sports

    Burned through a set of Cups on a 2008 ACR in 4 track days, agreed on the R6s getting 4 track days out of those also. Never tried SS that 300 treadwear rating just annoyed me. .
