2000 with 9k miles...what are the risks?
Ahhhh.. one more thing to check. Check your crankshaft bolt. Chances are it's OK but check to ensure. The crank is not pinned. If the bolts come out.. game over. Although the concern is mainly with modified cars, some non-modified cars have found their crank bolts loose upon inspection...- TP_ GTS

Best replacement Radiator
I had mine re-cored. A fellow member recommended a local shop here in Florida. They re-cored mine adding a 3rd row. It was a plug and play when I got it back! When working on the engine...
I did both with the hood on. Not that big of an issue for the two projects you mention. I did it over a few days and Coronas.
