You should check if your battery is in good shape. A bad cell will cause low voltage and your car will not perform correctly. Batteries often go bad if the car is stored without some kind of battery tender. Vipers are very sensitive to low voltage levels.
Hi Rafi. The word "budget" implies to me that this is what you are limiting yourself to spend. If that's your limit then .... well .... that's your limit. You should research what condition a GTS will be in at that price point and decide are you willing to buy a GTS with those attributes.

This has happened to me in my 2000 a few times over the years. It's just the way things line up. The best thing to do is not force it, or you will bend or break something. I just put the clutch in and run through the forward gears and then try reverse again. Usually always works.
Yeah, I don't quite understand how keeping the dealerships open would jeopardize their viability other than the manufacturers don't know how to or aren't willing to cut costs.
