Hey! I think that's me riding shotgun with Bobby. I know firsthand that the #32 car is BAD fast. I've been whooped by it many, many times. Congratulations on a great purchase, and I look forward to racing against you next season! :2tu:
I can sell the car cheaply now. Bobby has told me how much the car is worth repaired, and what it would cost me to have him repair it. He can get used body parts for just a fraction of new cost. This car would be a steal for someone with the ability to install the fiberglass body parts. I...
1:37's to 1:38's for a stock Viper with chassis set up for racing on Hoosier DOT's (stock engine and brakes, borla exhaust, full interior). Those were the numbers for the SCCA Run-Offs last year by the fastest semi-pro to pro drivers in our T1 class. Mid-Ohio track times can change 2-4 seconds...
2001 Viper race car with factory ABS (yellow with black stripes). Bought new in 2001 and converted and maintained by Bobby Archer in Fort Worth. Raced approximately 12-14 times in SCCA T1 class and GT2 in Viper Racing League. Street legal so could be financed conventionally. Powder-coated...
Thanks guys! We sure have our work cut out for us! There are about 21 cars signed up for the Runoffs to date.... 3 Vipers, 1 Porsche, 1 Firebird, and the rest Corvettes. Bobby, Dan, and I are holding the Viper banner alone. At least six drivers in the T1 class have raced professionally...
"Lil", with every strike of your keypad you are making a new enemy. I guess you are just the Jane Fonda of our little Viper racing world....just wish we could turn you off! It is always the uneducated that have the loudest mouths. It is a shame that you are too cowardly to let us know who you...
Hey "Lil",
Can't wait to meet you... are you coming to Mid Ohio? Maybe someone can explain the difference between racing and the Challenge series to you. I'm a bit new to this, but racing typically involves traffic, passing cars, getting slowed down by cars, and driving a less than ideal line...
Morgan is absolutely right.... 3380 w/o driver or gear, post race. That is typically with a near empty tank, which means sometimes there is a little calculating to be done. Bobby's car weighted in at 3383 after his first race at TWS... yes, he is that good!
