    I admire people who want to learn how to do this kind of work themselves..... I would "learn" on a car less expensive than a Viper.....but admire the effort. But you have to realize sometimes you are going to mess something up that may get expensive. Good luck.... unless you have all the tools...

    What extended warranty do you have? I have a MaxCare (?) and when I had problems with the driver's window making a horrific noise when operating, the dealership replaced it. There should be a recall for this issue...similar to the head gasket issue on the Gen 1 Vipers.........

    They are not always going to just do it cheaper.........there is a policy with language in it that dictates what they do. Typically the total loss threshold is 80% of current market value, or the agreed value in this case. So if you have agreed value at $48K.... anything less than $38,400 it is...

    Mine was replaced once under warranty... I have extended to 2013 or 70,000 miles..... I use the hell out of my windows so let's hope the extended warranty pays off!

    Hood painting cost (for a new hood)?

    I pulled the spacers on the driver side fender.....brought the fender down a fair amount....it's still a tad higher than the hood in the middle...but I think that's just the way it is. I am interested in the VipAir hood........Frog I sent you a PM....let's see if we can work a deal......
