    Still having AC trouble.

Why do you say the Freon is not the problem? Sounds like it is. Seals usually go where the lines fit the compressor, or back at the exchanger, I had to replace mine...

What's is going at the Connor Assembly plant ?!

Re: What\'s is going at the Connor Assembly plant ?! Figures this would bring out a knuckle-dragger or two! :) Listen, folks, there's nothing wrong with having your cake and eating it too. Defeatable traction control, active handling, etc., will still let you play with your handling with...

What's is going at the Connor Assembly plant ?!

Re: What\'s is going at the Connor Assembly plant ?! LOL, I guess you're one of those who doesn't want the new tech. :D Not a problem, live and let live. I just think when every other modern (yes) supercar has electronic handling/safety net tech now, and in fact perform better for having...

    Unbelievable version of VW commercial!!

That's OK, at least we snake-owners don't need to order designer daisies for our built-in bud vase! :D No Vee-Dub is Complete Without a Flower!

What's is going at the Connor Assembly plant ?!

Re: What\'s is going at the Connor Assembly plant ?! ROFL!! :smirk: Where do these "international" do-gooders get these laughable ideas? Unbelievable! I don't know about you, but if I'm gonna get hit by a moving two-ton mass of metal, the last thing I'm thinking is "crumple zone!" LOL! I...

    Sh*t...I put 87 octane in

How much gas is left in the hose on a standard three choice - one hose pump when you start fueling? Where does the "switch" take place between octane levels and how much "contamination" are we talking about? Seems if the junction is in the pump, you're only looking at maybe a pint of so, no...

    I can't believe I purchased a 94' RT/10!

Re: I can\'t believe I purchased a 94\' RT/10! Congratulations! Great deal and a real "keeper" Don't know if anyone has mentioned it yet, but, if those are the original tires, get rid of them now. They will be hard as bricks and you will lose it very easily. Great car!

    Gen IV Coupe?

I'm not crazy about that Vanquish front grill. Kinda has a "Billy Bass" mouth thing going there...

What is my car really worth???

Good advice, but I'd add that, when I was shopping for my Viper a couple years back, your car would have been around 57-60K. Personally, I'd try for at least 55K as its' truly mint for those miles. Or, you might get more by selling off the wheels, etc., and putting it mostly back to stock...

Best Bang for the Buck Stereo Mods

Some good ideas here... Biggest problem with the RT/10 is finding any room anywhere for a sub.

Need rear glass for an RT/10!!!

I'm curious why you paid nearly double for it? Did the company SnakeByte posted above not have it for four hundred something?

    3:55 gears

Personally, I love the 3.73's but 3.55 are not much different. Be sure to put Kuhmos on if possible.

    What is a FAIR price for a 99 RT/10?

Advice you're getting here is all good. Tough call on the "scratches" not actually being able to see them. Could be a deal killer, or very minor. It would be good if you could go see it, and bring a viper tech. BTW, 1999 RT > 2000 RT (creampuff - least desireable year), all things else being...

Gen 2's now selling for more than Gen 3's

Re: Gen 2\'s now selling for more than Gen 3\'s Source? I think it's inevitable, just due to numbers produced and suriving, but I'm surprised you're seeing it already...

    kumo tires

Dayum, I love those tires... I hope if they do discontinue them, that they replace them with something better.

    kumo tires

Just called Tire Rack and they had four rear 17's, and two heat-cycled front 17's available. I got two of the rears, so they have two rears left. They are expecting more in "the Spring," but didn't know anything about the tires being discontinued.

    Viper in Fatal Crash

Actually, recommend we replace this thread with a sticky at the top of the board where everyone who's so inclined can post relevant measurements of their biceps and reproductive apparatus, along with record distances for projecting bodily fluids...

    Viper in Fatal Crash

GR8 Post! I really think a lot of it a perception that these cars are somehow "Old School" and that is part of their charm with a lot of people. Then again, there are some knuckle draggers in here too. :D

    Viper in Fatal Crash

well, obviously I disagree... The technology exists to make vehicles much safer while preserving every bit of their "fun" aspect. You used the word STUPID a lot. Maybe you should look in the mirror, Forrest. Unneeded fatalities is an extreme price to pay for testosterone delusions...

    Viper in Fatal Crash

People are dying. Put away the macho "if you can't handle the car, don't buy it" crappola long enough to realize that. You give up nothing with "defeatable" safety controls. All the other manufacturers have them. Time to get with the 21st century here...

    Viper in Fatal Crash

Sorry, but these cars are street cars, not race cars - they lack the required safety equipment, for one thing, to be "race cars." They are sold as street cars, and, as such, they should be controllable by the average automobile enthusiast. Corvette and Mercedes, BMW, Lambo, Porsche - all use...

    Viper in Fatal Crash

Certainly higher percentage of Vipers are wrecked than other high performance cars. How many people have to die in Vipers before DC takes the long-overdue step of equipping them with (defeatable for expert drivers) traction control and active handling? Maybe that wouldn't have stopped this...

Good News for Generation I & II Vipers

I think that's exactly what it is. What did a '96 B/W list for? Around 69-70K, right? Hard to believe that they're still worth around 50K ten model years later. My guess is the truly mint specimens will be bringing 100-150K in less than ten years. I remember someone bought one with less...

Good News for Generation I & II Vipers

Didn't the 98 and 99 Vipers have the "lumpy" cam too? Anyway, agree with the idea that Gen I and II Vipers will appreciate fairly quickly. They just didn't make that many of them...
