A lot of people have a lot of different ideas of what they want their perfect Viper to be. Thats why its still my opinion to offer it completely basic and let the buyer personalize it to their budget and intended use whether through the factory or aftermarket.
I feel it falls under knowing a little bit about everything and a lot about something. They have accomplished part of that so far, Hopefully it keeps going.
Is that Smurf Blue? You don't see many with that color and it one of my favorite blues, and that's coming from a B&W owner. I never thought much of the Aero cars but that thing looks perfectly proportioned, very nice.
I have said it from the beginning and I completely agree with you, there needs to a bare bones track version. I guess what I am looking for is a 17 year newer version of my 96, AC is the only option I need, dump anything that weighs more than it should. I would love to know what one would...
I don't know if they will segregate themselves, but there will be separate camps, no doubt. I don't exactly understand it, as the new car took the looks of the 1 and 2 and applied them to an update chassis and drivetrain of the 3 and 4. To me it should have pulled them together, but what do I...
Agreed. But instead of saving all the track performance for the ACR edition, a true track pack should be an option also. They already have the main ingredients, just a little icing on the cake for the purely performance minded. Maybe the thought is that it would hurt ACR sales, but I hope I...
I'm kind of surprised cars haven't implemented negative springs in there engineering. Maybe it isn't needed with a static load of a car like it is a Mountain Bike. You would be amazed at the technology that is in a bike shock compared to a car. It would cancel out 99% of ever topping out the...
I think a lot have lost perspective on a bone stock car. They have already pushed the Gen4 to the 700hp mark, it you want it faster than stock, build it your way. As far the brakes go, the brakes on the new car are still good brakes, but they shoukd also have a long life and are cheap to...
I hope this statement was just directed at Vipers. I work in the Utility industry and for the most part newer means minimal life expectancy and planned obsolescence . I will assume it was just Vipers.
I think you hit the nail on the head here. There will be some overlap from previous owners that are purchasing the new one, but for the most part there will inevitably be two very distinct types of enthusiasts when it's done.
As far as airbag sensors go, how many wires run to the plug? I can't see this being more than a NO or NC contact. Which leaves either a circuit that in normal operating remains closed, a simple jumper should do, or a circuit that normally remains opened, which unplugging should be fine, but...
It's only a steal if you can make it into what you want, but the locked down computers will forever hinder these models. The rest of the upgrades are easy, but for a motor to have so much engineered potential with a low ceiling, the guys that can't leave anything alone like me shy away. I...
I sure hope so. It wouldn't be a Viper if it didn't. It's just not as blunt about it. It seems like the new car gives you some warning before it kills you, the older ones were more like an ax to the back of the skull, you never saw it coming.
In an off the wall way, consider this to be a good thing. Ralph not having any time to "Tweet" hopefully means he is spending his time on the car. I do not know him personally, but from what I have seen and heard of him, I can't think of any other CEO that is a passionate about one specific...
I sure SRT climbs out of all of this soon. It seems they bit off more than they can chew in many aspects of this car. As much as I know Fiat was instrumental in bringing this car back, I just hope they are as instrumental n keeping it back. If the paint is this much of an issue, discontinue...
