For anyone interested, a flow comparison of a JM Stage III OEM ported head versus a M/Y 2000 AB casting stock head.
I suspect that the earlier GENII stock AA casting head has a smaller chamber but won't be able to confirm that for a few weeks.

Thanks Stuntman -
Logically I concur but would love some numbers to back up our assumptions. Has anyone flowed a factory cat? No doubt Hi Flows are way less restrictive versus stock, but is it the next bottleneck after the heads and headers are replaced? Changing only Hi Flows in an...
I have a 2.5" Corsa cat back on a otherwise stock 1996 GTS and am thinking of adding headers to the cylinder head upgrade. Been convinced that JM Stage III heads with stock manifolds isn't really an optimal strategy. I'm sure the same could be said for not adding hi flow cats, 3" exhaust, a...
Don't disagree Johnny, in fact the more I research I do the more see the flaw in my plan. I just do want to fall into the endless abyss of just one more mod, while at the same time want to step things up a notch to keep it fun. A fine line.
Camfab - From what I can figure out the refurb valve...
A while back I bought a set of Jeff Morys GENII OEM Stage III cylinder heads for my 1996 GTS from Steve Viperair. They were used but refurbished by Jeff to be 'like new," which in fact they look to be. Believing in the Reagan doctrine, "trust by verify," I took them to a local shop (where they...
Steve is the only reason Indiana / Kentucky has a functioning Viper organization and we here in Indy are extremely fortunate to call him one of our own.
No better friend.
If storage isn't needed, a Nussbaum Scissor lift is another alternative. Not the cheapest solution but garage floor thickness, PSI,expansion joint
location, etc. typically isn't an issue as the load is spread far broader than any other type of lift and it's only 4" thick down while being almost...
I had a +4 set in a 300M. One of the 4 electrodes fell off in cylinder #1 and resulted in a head that had to be removed, welded and machined. A little research found that I wasn't the only one and Bosch did not stand behind it.
No Bosch for me.
I don't doubt what you are observing but have you owned both cars since new and know for 100% fact that neither was repainted? I've seen a lot of 1996 GTS's and I've never seen a different color factory blue on any of them.
Regardless, what's most important is matching to what you have not...
Unless the new buyer wants an all original GTS.
IMO if you're concerned over future value, or like in my case, the ability to go back to 100% factory perfect - remove, save and replace, don't cut.
I concur on back to stock, at least as far as practical.
As nice as they are, the wheels in particular scream modded and that's not good for a classic blue / white valuation
Diesel engine oils have higher levels of detergent and anti-wear additives including zinc phosphate combinations. Shell Rotella T6 and Mobil 1 Delvac are two synthetic versions that come to mind. I've gotten very good used oil analysis after using these oils so I stick with them in all my cars...
You can not use gear lube, Mopar synthetic / Castrol Syntorq or not, with the early T-56's. Paper lined syncro's in the early boxes do not like it.
Stick with ATF+4, an approved replacement for Dexron II
