Matco MST93 pulley remover & installer kit worked perfectly. "Easy method" leaving the pump on. Took all of 45 minutes for both the pump and the bracket but the radiator was out for repair so there was some extra room. The pulley came off and went back on perfectly without breakage. Used Dave's...
The Viper has a hydraulic brake circuit that is vertically split, meaning both front on one circuit and both rear on the other. Most cars are diagonally split. The pressure differential valve should have maintained rear wheel braking and the dash brake warning light should still be on because it...
1996 GTS's had an EEM (electronic entry module) update that changed the chirp / light flash amongst other things. If one had the original EEM and the other the TBS updated version, they will act differently. The update also repostioned the hood alarm switch from the passenger side of the engine...
Get one of these and aim it for a spot on your dash - Works for me.

I park on a scissor lift so this makes sure I'm positioned in the right spot to lift.
Heat is available on the defrost and floor settings - A/C on the dash vents but I thought also on defrost, not positive on that one. Been a while since I drove in the rain.
Since brake fluid is hydroscopic (absorbs water) flushing every 2 years is smart. Saves the lines from corrosion and keeps the boiling point high Obviously tracking the car increases the need exponentially.
I used Gorilla Glue and so far it's been fine. Messy since it expands as it cures but with careful trimming with a razor and a black permenant marker, only noticable to me.
Re: Smokey, exactly. Joking of course.
Re: Weatherstriping. Not sure what year GTS this is, but early models (1996 & 1997 at least) have side windows that were too tall and stretched the weatherstrip to the point that it broke over time in the fashion that you see. All of them will do it...
Like he said - Nothing. Looks like someone wanted to play Smokey and the Bandit.
The weatherstrip damage shown is common and a result of a window being slightly too tall and stressing the seam over time. Glue-able to save money. I bought a new one (more than $300!) but glued the old to save it...
I had my evaporator replaced twice before they correctly identified the leak as being in the condensor. Had that replaced and have had cool air ever since... going on 7 years.
That looks like it. I assume you found it unattached? If so, that's a good sign.
Most any metal under the dash is grounded but you'll need an unpainted area to have a proper connection. Usually a screw head is good as the threads have a direct contact to the grounded metal. All FOBs have to be...
There was a TSB on the 1996 alarm that entailed moving the hood switch and I think updating the EEM firmware. A search or a read of the TSB might point you the the cure if it hasn't already been done on yours. Check the hood alarm plunger switch location. If it's near the coolant cap it hasn't...

Pictures are gone but if you need any let me know as they are still on the car performing as intended.
I don't know about later GEN's, but one out of every X (don't remember ratio) GENII's engines were run on an engine dyno for a significant duration before installation. Many felt that was an advantage and wanted those engines in their cars. Probably the equivalent of 50+ miles. Doubt they...
My mistake, you are absolutely correct the inner stantion piece does have to come off, but not the door panel. The inner stantion is tricky and requires some force, but with the right twist it just makes it. It's been a while... Sorry for the confusion.
Stantion does come off without removing anything else except outer door button and some screws. Have to work it a bit. .
I removed and used a small amount of Gorilla Glue to fill the void. Made sure there was no chance window could catch it, trimmed with razor when cured and used a black...
$40.00 later, the inlet (factory brazed) and outlet (factory soldered) are now in the OEM position.
