Quick update: S/w Scott at X2 and he fully stands behind the product. I can return it or have fixed locally. My choice is to fix, assuming the inlet is soldered rather than brazed which would cause a more extensive repair. Scott's next production will have corrected tubes and from what I saw...
Hi Tom,
It's been a long time! I'll do that and report back. Might take a few days as they're already packed up ready to be dropped off at the shop tomorrow. As soon as I get them back I'll let you know.

Chuck,
I know you're asking about the aluminum unit but for comparision it seems the OEM is slightly more than 6 rows for every 2 inches and 9.5 "fins" depending on what classifies as a fin. The X2 seems to be slightly less than 6 rows of tubes per 2 inches with about 7.5 "fins" per inch...
Yeh, I agree, it's a job for a professional. I tried "tweaking it" but the force required would certainly cause damage and with my luck I wouldn't notice it until it was reinstalled. Back to see Albert on Monday.
Dean, I thought it was just the difference in photos, but you are right, the tube...
**Potential** GENI/II OEM "like" Radiator Replacement Option
After noticing a slight leak in my 15 year old original radiator, I pulled it and brought it down to Albert at Indianapolis Radiator Works. He expressed some concern about the repairability and while a re-core is always an option...
nutkees - I'm sure you are referring to the pump shaft's internal threads which are used to pull the new pulley on. They are M10x1.50.
I bought on Ebay a used Matco MST93 pulley remover & installer kit and used the "easy method" leaving the pump on. Took all of 45 minutes for both the pump...
Unfortunately it seems that the last forum upgrade changed the page naming nomenclature and all references to older thread are no longer valid. Maybe a search would relocate it and then you could post the updated link back here.....
Re: POWER STEERING FILTER...install planned for this weekend along with cooler for Ge
Be interesting to see what it catches. Where did you get it?
Thanks
I'd learn how to do it yourself as you'll be doing it a lot. Not hard, but easier with two people and patience. Just be careful while test closing. Alternatively, a high end body shop would be my choice versus a dealer.
I second the Kumho's from Jon B. In my opinion fresh tires are the best SOTP upgrade, especially when you were running MXX3's with a 1998 built date in 2011.... It's like a new car.
That's a whole different story... No way I'd trust it.
Success isn't about it holding air, it's about it not blowing out and that baby looks like a prime candidate....
I concur, if it's in the repairable tread area and not too large that it can't be plugged, I'd fix it. I've only used tire shops that install plug-patches. These are applied from the inside and combine a plug and a patch in one.
ACR's came with K&N air filters standard. (and smooth intake tubes) allowing a claimed +10 / 460HP. Non ACR's had traditional pleated paper with a thick foam glued to the front. Fram makes a cheaper and less restrictive appearing pleated paper with thinner foam filter, part number CA8093.
My supposition is that as the friction area delubes and gets crudded up, the friction between the two becomes great enough to push/pull stress the spring in ways that accelerate it's departure from the hinge. While a properly cared for spring might eventually depart anyway, there are enough...
Not relevant to your '02 Viper, but for those with earlier model Vipers that came spec'd with Dexron III like mine 1996, switching to Syntorq/Mopar Synthetic was recommended to quiet neutral gear rattle. I changed to it years ago but decided recently to revert, believing that more frequent...
I agree Dom. Unless the inner rubber is gone or crushed, not a big deal. I suppose if the outer material was completely missing, maybe a locating issue for the arm, but I haven't seen one that bad yet. Still, keeping a watchful eye out....
.
Thanks Jon for not only acquiring a set of difficult to find 17" tires for my GTS, but honoring last year's price and throwing in a small part I've been looking for months for. I really appreciate it! :2tu:

After driving from Indy to NYC, my right knee was a pretzel. Installed the Snake Oyl cruise control and never regretted it. 10 years later still works great.
