Probably would.... Putting a car on a diet is often a VERY expensive endeavor. Sports Cars are already designed to be of low weight....cutting more can increase costs considerably (which is the last thing the Viper platform can afford right now).- sunsalem

Challenger Hellcat gets 707HP!
I was a bit surprised too, but the current HP isn't a big concern for me: I want the auto trans. I realize Ralph said no....however, with inventories so high and SRT put in the back seat by Fiat, things have changed. If there is a future for the Viper, it will be a different beast. No way can...- sunsalem

I couldn't agree more. FWIW, I hope the Hellcat engine (and auto transmission) will be shoehorned into the current chassis somehow. If so, I will put in a order.- sunsalem

Viper production continues...2015 model?
Does anyone know exactly when the plant will re-open? IMO, it would be the undeniable proof of a 2015 model. It's a little disconcerting to me Dodge hasn't confirmed or announced what a 2015 model will consist of....- sunsalem
