I do believe that Dodge, by putting this engine in a truck, stands to endanger the vipers by increasing engine production and quality suffering. Anything for the buck. I hope I am wrong.
EXACTLY how do you remove the old ones? Heat gun, hair dryer? What are the pitfalls? I really want to get this product, but ain't biting until I know. Pictures of removal would be helpful.
I drive the 10 with the air on all the time. With the top up it will keep me comfortable, but never frozen (and I like to be frozen). This is on 79-85 degree days. I have't put the top down yet (bought the 10 last sunday). I like the cooler weather for the top down
Can you freeze yourself with...

Having had 2 z06s, I couldn't agree with you more. Even if GM and Hill can pull their feet out of their a-- for 30 seconds, I doubt the new z06 will beat the viper. Even if it makes 500hp, there will be so many engine management and torque managements on the thing, it won't run like...
Re: where\'s my gen 3 hardtop?
I agree that the golden age of horsepower may be gone (and sooner than ten years) what with gas prices, green peacers etc. I saw it dry up in the 60s and vowed not to be left out if it came back.
Remember the insurance companies have not even made their presence...
Re: where\'s my gen 3 hardtop?
I don't get this topic. Do you mean axe all vipers? Doubtful since dealers are alread getting 05 info. If you mean ax the srt-10, who cares as long as they carry on and evolve. Just what do you mean?
I just got my 04SRT-10 and have used about 3/4 quart of oil in 200 miles. Do you think this is normal? What have your experiences been? (I did a search and can find nothing on this) I definitely have been taking it easy.
thanks
When the new gears are installed, it is like the vette where they have remove the rear wheels, exhaust, and drop the entire rear end and trany down (drop it out of the tunnel)---or is it "easier" To me 5-7 hours sounds like a big job. I always worry about leaking fluids after such a mod
thanks
Being a former Z06 owner times 2, I would say that if your stock srt feels in any way comparable to the z06, then you should look into that first. (I just got my new SRT-10 on sunday and have made an appointment with my plastic surgeon to remove my new, deep facial smile lines).
The only reason...
I am set to buy a new 04 SRT-10 tomorrow. I have read the posts about recalls, bulletins, etc. In view of the problems that some people have had--would you say go for it or stay away another year? I had the first year of the vette Z06 and got into the oil burning issue, so I am a little gun shy...
