Hey, all... I'd like to pick up a good code reader and code clearer for my '09 ACR. Hopefully not too expensive, but I don't want a "budget" compromise, either. Bonus points if the unit can be bought at typical (Autozone, O'Reilly/Kragen, etc.) retail stores.
Thanks in advance for your...
I had some similar ideas... and I think you're right. You're kinda tempting fate if you ever leave the car unattended.
BTW, in California it's not permitted to substitute a number for a letter of an existing plate. In my case, I'd used the DMV web tool to find "P1T VIPR" and order it...
I have no idea how you're driving that car with a stock seat setup. Knees and headroom were both a problem for me and I'm only 6'4"!
If I recall correctly, the 1" drop kit will allow you to keep the under-seat electronics module mounted and permit seat adjustment. Once you get the 2" kit...
Hey, welcome to the club. Ditto what 72hemi said above; we'll both be at the Mopar Rally on June 5. And thumbs up on the road course days... I'd like to get the NorCal group together for that as well.
I've seen this before, and for some reason it's not too uncommon to see a torque (and resulting HP) spike on a Dynojet trace. As mentioned, that's the cause of your aberrent peak number. Nice to see that your operator applied SAE correction to his results.
I'm wondering if it's a loose connection to either the coil or ground. It has flashed on when at constant speed in traffic, no throttle or gear change.
...search reveals nothing more recent than June 2008.
Who's using a Raptor shiftlight in their 2009 Viper? Mine's just in, and behaving similarly to what's been previously noted on this forum: seemingly random activation, sometimes a little flash... other times flashing non-stop. Turning...
I'm pretty sure this is the first auto enthusiast internet thread in history that actually accomplished anything. Well done, sirs!
And now I have "full exhaust" on my mind... dammit.
Veering a little off-topic: would a set of ACR rims be my most cost-effective way to have a separate set of street wheels with PS2's? I'd kinda like to save my Sport Cups for the track.
I'm sure there are many aftermarket wheels that people use on their ACRs for street driving, but I don't...
I know where you're coming from; I'm a "drive it!" kind of guy, too. I have to admit that the beauty and holycrap styling of the car (once it's in your garage) have changed my original opinion on dd'ing the car. When I bought it, I thought I'd commute with it once a week (~64 mile round trip)...
Verrryy nice, Bruce. Your car is probably one of the places I'd seen them. What do you think of the quality? I assume these are rub-on letters... or are they part of a single contiguous clear background?
Hesitant to post this for fear of flaming (Really? Asking about a bumper sticker?!), but I've seen pics of a couple Vipers that have the modern "Dodge" with two red slash bars graphic on one side of their front bumper. And now that I look for an example to show what I'm talking about... D'oh...
Frickin' subscribed. This thread is like a Wiki.
Thanks to Junkman for all the extensive, clear info and recommendations. Also to KCobean; the back-and-forth posts have become teaching tools.
I can tell I'm gonna have a love/hate relationship with this car's paint: Snakeskin Green...
