I think the Viper can stay ahead if we get better tires, I agree with everyone that is what the Viper needs. With better tires, it will stay ahead of the Z06 - for now.
It was more of a GM management high five presentation
Doesn't mean I wouldn't consider a Z06, but lord - what a lack luster performance. I wanted more.
I think the GT package is sort of a bridge. Many have complained "why isn't there one model you just choose whatever you want"
The GT package now gives you that, basically. I wonder if the GTS will go away and all you'll have is the SRT in a year or so.
Seems like SRT took everyones advice.
I think the 8 speed auto will be great and hopefully it will force SRT's hand. I've been pondering trading in my V for another upgraded V, but at this point I want to wait for DCT if I am going to eat a loss.
Can't wait to see what the Z06 does on a track.
A 50 minute video debuting the car.
With 2 minutes talking about the car. lol.
Not nearly as aggressive as the renderings, honestly, I am underwhelmed. Z06 forums aren't all that pleased with the debut lol
Don't get why people can't be happy two AMERICAN cars are leading the performance pack
SRT will answer, but - jeez be happy we are kicking the euro ass and taking names.
IMHO in order for the Viper to survive long term, SRT needs to position it as the 'proving ground' for new tech. The engine needs to evolve (as much as I love the big burly V10) to something just as powerful, but a smaller form factor. I know plenty will disagree with me. I still think going...
Ferraris have notoriously terrible paint jobs (unless you get a more expensive paint option, then it is farmed out)

read that thread and cringe.
lol, you guys are hilarious. car hasn't even hit a public track yet and it is doom and gloom.
being FI, it maybe able to set a lap record somewhere once the tires warm up, but shortly after that it will be heat soaked. To me this has only been built like it is to make bench racers happy, as...
Re: Does Viper have built-in roll bar/roll over protection suitable for 6 pt harness
VENOM V has some good info on the VOA site about the harness and other neck safety devices.
Also, remove your plates from your cars when tracking. Even when using track insurance, some people have had their cars dropped from their regular insurance because of photos on the internet.
