Was never a fan till I picked up my car at UGR and they were on it:
They will be on car #2 from them next month as well:
I fell in love with it so much, my jeep:
Big power NA combo's don't exist. It's impossible to balance a true HP all motor application and have great driveability. That's why you see so many boosted applications.
After thinking on it. This makes no sense. Sell your car, buy a Gen 4 and be done with it. Throw a few mods to the Gen 4, you'll have a comfortable ride, with a warranty and better looks. You'll also be able to get out of your car if you ever want to. I have a viper that would cost around...
Why are you building your car? You want to build a car with more HP, but for what reason? Just so you can show a dyno sheet that says look at what I can do? Your story is just odd. The questions you are asking, any tuner who has built anything along these lines, should already know. Whole...
Generally, regardless of spinning/traction, you'll MPH will be semi close. As an example, walk your car out 200' on a 1/4 mile track before getting on it, the top speed won't be that far off, but obviously the ET will.
I know what my dyno numbers are :D. I hate dyno's. I think they are great for tuning and nothing else. We don't race dyno's. Good luck with the build. I'll be very curious how it comes out in the end.
Put an auto in it, watch the MPH go way down and you'll still smoke the crap out of most vipers :D. I don't trap impressive speeds.
Proof:
Yet, nobody can come close to running with me on a Invo.
I don't have many 100 degree days. Regardless, I've driven my TT car in plenty of hot summer conditions with zero issues. Different strokes for different folks. Just seems like a lot of money to spend to still not be that fast vs what the money spent could get you.
I've never understood the desire to build NA, when you'll spend as much money if not more vs boosting it. These motors are just way too boost friendly.
Not enough details to make a comment. I personally would only buy an underground car as that is who I have experience with (two cars). You might consider calling heffners shop to ask about the car to see what they remember about it. If all is the same, I'd likely go with the heffner car...
In 20 years, adjusted for inflation, the car would have to be worth 4x what it is now probably. If money doesn't matter to her and she wanted it right there, who cares what she paid.
It depends on how much you want to spend. If you're spending the money to do turbo's, you're already spending the money on shafts, etc. I've beat on my car and all I've had to do is change oil.
Not sure about the viper not being great drag strip cars. I can leave my street tires on and run...
Now they both need twin turbo's and it's complete :D. If I sell my turbo viper, a turbo spyder is being start instantly. Only car I'd sell the viper for. Awesome cars.
Just curious how crazy this might end up looking. I know at one time DC performance had one that made the car NHRA legal, just cuious if anyone has done this.
