The car going to be a monster on the track. BUT, it would have been sooooooo much more enticing with another 75HP via the Mopar performance package talked about last year at NAIAS. Especially with the est. 650HP Vette due out next year.
Maybe Dodge can make this an option on the car.
BTW -...
HP probably not much difference. Sound is like ice cream, not everyone likes the same flavor. But I will say this.... Far and away the MEANEST, NASTIEST, 'Viper' I have ever heard was not even a Viper - the Tomahawk concept motorcycle. Custom headers flowing into one pipe out the rear...
Viperholics,
1.) I recently had a new clutch/pressure plate/TO bearing installed, and the mechanic told me the clutch inspection cover was damaged. It was only being held on by one bolt (should be four). Apparantly, this is pretty common via a previous post I read from Chuck Tator. Anywho...
Found the answer to #1 as well...
Yes, the alignment tool that comes with does fit the clutch splines. But, it does not fit snugly on the pilot bearing. Diameter is too small.

Wow! That's horrible. And yes, I only have jack stands. And I would be doing the job solo. To be honest, I'm probably just going to let a buddy of mine do the work. He is a professional mechanic, and from my readings there is nothing unusual about the Viper clutch. Please correct me if I'm...
Yeah, I realize I'm going to have to pull the tranny no matter what. BUT, if someone has run into this same problems/noise and knows the fix, I can order the parts and be ready to go... Especially since I might have someone else do the job (due to my lack of time), and I don't want the car...
Viperholics,
OK. Here's my situation (1998 Viper GTS 40,000 miles original clutch):
1.) About 500 miles ago the Viper started to make a strange noise in-between high RPM shifts (Anything about 4,500 RPM). When I pushed in the clutch to shift, I heard a noise that sounded EXACTLY like a...
